A little weekend project. This time around it's about doing an artwork that is heavily inspired by the most excellent Makoto Kobayashi's designs. Not only does he do marvellous mech designs but also lots of beyond the design story telling too. He creates the models and puts them into context. There are sources for getting his model kits for those of you who are keen to spend a bit.
So this weekend i decided to sit down and let some of his amazing work inspire this design and piece. I also wanted to recreate that wonderful watercolour/sketchy feeling with the renders.
Lots of organic and curvy shapes, very animal like big features mixed with the military capabilities.
