Art Of Levi

Screne Scene approached me to do a shot for the latest season of Black sails TV show. The shot  was a set extension where we had to come up up with the idea of extending this vast gold hold.  Compare plate and one of the last versions of the DMP. Last fire comp was treated by Screne scene. I ended up modelling the piles and columns, that way i could move things around to try different placement layouts.  More additional CG-gold was around the actors feet and fg.

Below are some earlier versions of the extension. A lot of 3D work for layout, and lighting via Keyshot. Final paint tweaks in PS.

This layout was based on an old but wide open column layout.

This vast cave was the first idea exploration.  Lots of depth and amount of gold.

An alternative layout for gold piles, another reason to do this 3d was to control the torch light placement to show the piles.
